My mum's funeral service was beautiful, and even though we planned everything over the phone and by email, it was an extraordinary experience to livestream my mum's last goodbye. It was a lovely surprise when I received the Simplicity Funeral photo book after everything had finished.

Meet Ray, Funeral Director at Simplicity Funerals Logan
As a funeral director, Ray supports grieving families, ensuring they have access to all options for celebrating life and planning a meaningful farewell. Ray's multilingual background, speaking Dutch and German, adds to his ability to connect with diverse communities.
What do you like about being a funeral director?
Our role is a very honourable one. To entrust ourselves with a family in grief and assure them that we will guide them through the journey of their loss and experience the best options we can provide to celebrate a life, and respectfully say farewell. Also, the people we meet posthumously, and learning about how they lived their life and affected their family and friends is a privilege.
Why choose Simplicity Funerals?
The people who serve the families are the greatest influencing factor of what makes any funeral service great. I think Simplicity has a couple of advantages through our packages, eliminating the need for families to have to make too many choices.
Our transparency in our pricing and what we provide means people know what they want and what they get before they come and see us. Any variations are optional and decided on by the family.

Brisbane has a variety of venues for hosting a funeral or memorial service. Among the options are some of the city’s parks and gardens like South Bank or Roma Street Parklands. Simplicity Funerals also provides a beautiful onsite chapel in Redcliffe, just a 40-minute drive from Brisbane CBD, with seating for up to 60 guests. Ultimately, the key is to choose a location that holds meaning for you and your family.
What can I expect from my Simplicity funeral director?
A funeral director plays a crucial role in organising the many aspects of planning a funeral. They provide guidance, handle the necessary paperwork, assist in selecting a casket or urn, arrange transportation for your loved one and coordinate the details of the service. Our team will ensure that the service is conducted to your preferences.
How much does a funeral cost in Brisbane?
The cost of a funeral in Brisbane can vary based on several factors, including the type of service, choice of burial or cremation and the coffin or casket chosen for your loved one. We offer a range of simple, affordable funeral and private cremation packages, because we believe it doesn’t have to cost the earth to mean the world.
