Meet Ray.
Ray started his journey in the funeral industry in 2006, he firmly believes there is no other role quite like it.
What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
Our role is a very honourable one. To entrust ourselves with a family in grief and assure them that we will guide them through the journey of their loss and experience the best options we can provide to celebrate a life, and respectfully say farewell. Also, the people we meet posthumously, and learning about how they lived their life, and affected their family and friends is a privilege.
Do you speak any other languages?
I migrated from Holland when I was 9, so I speak Dutch, and I lived in Switzerland for a couple of years, and learned to speak German there.
What makes Simplicity Funerals special?
The people that serve the families are the greatest influencing factor of what makes any funeral service great. With my team, Julie Clarke, and Raelene Baldwin, their depth of experience to co-ordinate their family’s needs and provide a professional service, is beyond reproach.
As a brand, I think Simplicity has a couple of advantages through our packages, eliminating the need for families to have to make too many choices.
Our transparency in our pricing and what we provide means people know what they want and what they get before they come and see us. Any variations are optional, and decided on by the family if they want to add extras.
