Meet Kristy
Kristy has been in the funeral industry for over 5 years and says being a funeral arranger is both a privilege and an honour.
“I am a tick the box kind of person who likes to make sure every detail is in place because it is the little things that make a difference in people’s lives.”
Kristy says she likes that she can take some stress away from the families during the arrangement process by being clear on the choices they have, making the process as simple as possible whilst making sure wishes are met.
Kristy also enjoys dispelling the stigma and myths around death, dying and funeral directors so feel free to ask her any questions. “We are very human people who want to help. We are very good at helping and listening.”
When asked what she would like included at her own funeral, Kristy said “Champagne and fairy bread! I am young at heart, love to celebrate the special moments in life and live to smile and laugh, I am sure that is how I would always be remembered.” Kristy would also like the Jessica’s theme song from ‘the man from snowy river’ to be played as it reminds her of sweet memories with her dad who sadly passed away not long ago.
