Joining Simplicity in November, De Arne brings four years of experience as a Funeral Director at a family funeral home in Clifton Hill. With a deep commitment to supporting families, De Arne has always been dedicated to ensuring they have a positive experience when entrusting a loved one into her care.
What do you like about being a funeral arranger?
Providing a positive experience for families navigating the various stages of grief for their loved ones, we strive to help them honour those who have passed with arrangements that bridge the transition from a relationship of presence to one of remembrance.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
Something people don’t know about me… I’ve got the travel bug. My most interesting trip was my first—travelling solo to India. Along with experiencing the rich and colourful culture, I’ll never forget the snake charmer in Delhi. But please don’t tell anyone—I haven’t made it to Europe yet!

As soon as I met Sonia and Simplicity Funeral Homes, I knew this was the place my mother would want to be. You see, for me, it's the people that make you feel taken care of and I felt so supported throughout the whole process. The Chapel is absolutely gorgeous and Sonia went above and beyond to ensure our wishes for our mother were met. During the viewing of my dearest mother, the mood and respect shown was appreciated by everybody. I also have to point out how perfectly they dressed and looked after my mother. She looked just as she wanted to and just as we remembered her. Through such a difficult time, we were able to say our farewells as we had hoped, with wonderful photos, flowers and music playing in the background.
