Meet Kaylene
Before starting her career as a funeral arranger over a decade ago, Kaylene worked at a truck & machinery auction house. She says, “I felt I needed a more rewarding position in customer service, and that is how I found my way into the funeral industry”.
What do you like about being a funeral director?
If I can help families through a difficult time and make a difference for the better, then I feel like I have done something worthwhile for the day.

We have a great team here at Thomastown, with compassionate and caring people to help support families. When people think of Simplicity, they think simple service. We now know, one person’s simple is another person’s grandeur. We can do it all here.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
I am a passionate Western Bulldogs (AFL) supporter and go to as many games as I can. I find it excellent stress relief to yell and cheer! I love to travel and have missed doing this over the past few years – I am eagerly waiting for the world to open up again. I also enjoy camping, just to get away and relax.
Going through the death of our mum was an incredibly sad & daunting time, we went to Simplicity Funerals with the normal feelings of 'are we doing the right thing'. All our apprehension was quickly put aside with the amazing help from Simplicity Funerals, we were guided through the decisions we needed to make from the smallest to the most important. On the day of mum's funeral every care was taken of mum and of us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you did.
