Meet Melissa
Before starting her career in the funeral industry 18 months ago, Melissa worked in community nursing. She says, “I have a passion for helping people and guiding them through times when they feel completely lost."
What do you like about being a funeral director?
The thought that I can provide dignity and respect to the deceased who can no longer provide it to themselves is the most rewarding thing in the world to me.
What makes Simplicity Funerals special?
I love that we can be cost effective and service all types of families especially in the current times where the cost of living is out of control.
What's one thing people don't know about you?
If I could, I would buy a farm and rescue as many animals as I possibly could. I have done a bit of travel but my all time favorite time was going out to the Great Barrier Reef, it was just spectacular.
Do you speak any other languages?
I am currently learning Auslan sign language.
Amazing, super considerate in taking care of every little detail and understanding. Sharon from Werribee branch was a great support and helped us til the last minute. She took initiative in every aspect of arranging my mother in-law’s funeral. Can thank simplicity Funeral and Sharon enough.
